Born in Sitiawan, Mr. Ling Wang Lim was forced to leave school early in the early 1980s as the eldest son of his family. He went to Singapore to work as a furniture apprentice. Driven by his passion for the furniture industry and a desire for self-improvement, he began studying interior design and integrating his skills into the furniture field.
After mastering enough furniture production techniques and gaining a unique perspective on home design and decoration at the time, Mr. Ling Wang Lim used his limited startup funds to establish Ling Wang Enterprise, founded in 2001. In its early years, the company purchased European machinery to process PVC edge-banding strips for its own wood door factory. Later, it began offering services to local furniture manufacturers in need.
In 2019, due to rapid business expansion, the company changed its name to Ling Wang Trading Sdn Bhd. Over time, the company continuously added various surface finishes for edge-banding strips, providing customers with over 500 color options. It also invested in several advanced machines to offer high-quality services to woodworking and furniture factories in the region. The business has since expanded into other projects as well.
With an innovative mindset, Mr. Ling Wang Lim and team introduced new concepts in home design and continuously focused on innovation. His approach not only revolutionized the furniture industry but also kept the company at the forefront of evolving trends, ensuring its long-term success and growth.
